This thing is B E A U Tea full. A ‘70 C10, 2wd, long box, with a 350, and THREE ON THE TREE! And it’s a subjectively awful gold color, but I think it adds ti the character of the truck. On and it’s got an awesome ladder rack too!
I’m loving the big blue bow tie. I’d prefer an oval tho. I have always liked the look of the 67-72 C10 those blinkers hidden in the grill bar are genius.
Mmmm ladder rack. Idk why but I love the look of a long box with a ladder rack.
Interior is... original but that’s not completely a bad thing.
The license plate is the same color as the truck. And Michigan oppos know what the deal is there?

There’s actually a very similar one for sale in Minnesota too.

That’s just the color for that year. http://r.ebay.com/I2V3IO
States used to change the color every year. Search 68, 79, 76 & they are different.

Neat. Then I hope the trucks stays in Michigan and keeps those plates.

XJDano’s right on. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Michigan

Missouri has same thing. But to use plates from year of model it has to be registered historic, and milage limited and some others restrictions.

I think the one in Int’l Falls looks like a better bargain? Amazing how similar the two are. And they’re both really cool trucks.

They are incredibly similar. It’d be interesting to see the VINs, who knows they could have rolled off the line one after the other.

As weird as that color is now, it was very popular back then. The one in MN is actually a higher trim level (Custom) than the MI truck. Doubt that matters much, value wise - the MN truck is hiding a lot though (bed, bench seat) - who knows what lurks under the plywood.

My dad has an itch for an old pickup truck - unfortunately, his itch is for even older (mid-50s), otherwise I’d be forwarding him these links just to tempt him (He’s in WI, but a loong way from these two).

UP is a looong way from anything.

Yup - and when you’re there, it feels like you’re about a million miles and at least 40 years’ time from anything, too.

My first vehicle was a ‘72 C10 long bed with the 307, 3 on the tree, two tone harvest yellow/white. Well, 3 tone if you count the bed painted in mobile home roof paint. I’ll own another someday.

Hot take: This generation C10 is the most over rated truck ever. Sure they’re good looking trucks, but they’re so overdone that they do almost nothing for me.
